While we already went over Casey’s Corner a bit above, there is one more advantage we need to mention: cost. The restaurant was closed with the COVID-19 closures but has since reopened. Here, you can get hot dogs, chili dogs, plant based hot dogs, and even corn dog nuggets.Ĭasey’s Corner has a cult following of hot dog and chili dog fans. Pecos Bill’s in on our list of best Magic Kingdom restaurants due to its affordable price, good food, and quick service.Ĭasey’s corner is another solid counter service dining option in magic Kingdom. They also serve basic burgers for those less adventurous diners. Pecos Bill’s in Frontierland serves classic Mexican inspired food options such as tacos, fajitas, rice bowls, and nachos. Next time I will try to get a Fast Pass so that we can avoid a long line. The best Magic Kingdom restaurants for counter service are Pecos Bill and Casey’s Corner. Our total was right around $40 for our three meals plus one dessert. And in typical Disney fashion, it seemed as though the attention to detail was extremely well done!Īnother benefit to eating lunch at Be Our Guest versus dinner is that lunch is a little bit cheaper. We thought the food was really good and the atmosphere was seriously cool! We liked how the cast members not only approved of, but encouraged us to wander around the restaurant to see the different rooms and details. Lily chose her meal from the kid menu – Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup and Green Beans. IT WAS DELICIOUS! For dessert we split a Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake (vanilla sponge cake, strawberry mousse filling, and cream cheese icing). Both will guide your server (and your food) to you.īob and I both had the Carved Prime Chuck Roast Beef Sandwich which came served warm on a baguette with horseradish sour cream and Pomme Frites. If you do not have MagicBands, you are handed a red orb-like-hockey-puck-thing to take to your table. When you choose your seat in the restaurant, the carts (equipped with RFID technology) point the server to where you are sitting. The cart keeps heated food warm on top and holds desserts, etc on a lower shelf. Your food arrives, seemingly by magic, on a special cart. While you wait for your food to arrive (ours took about 10-15 minutes) you can head to the nearest beverage station and fill up your cups. We had no problem finding an open table – there were many to choose from. You can choose to eat in one of three different areas upon entering the castle… there is the grand ballroom (pictured above), then a darker (both in theme and in actual lighting) West Wing room and finally the Rose Garden which is where we sat. There are plenty of tasty choices and also a kids’ menu. At Be Our Guest, you can order your meal from cashiers or touch screen menus. We decided to take our chances and I am SO glad we did!Īfter only about a 20 minute wait, we were entering the castle, and after a few more minutes were ready to order. As we strolled by the entrance mid-afternoon one day, hungry and looking for somewhere to cool off and eat, the line stretched way out the door and down the path. We really wanted to eat at the much-raved-about Be Our Guest Restaurant but I had not been able to secure dining reservations for dinner nor Fast Passes for lunch. During our most recent trip to WDW (March, 2014) there was a noticeable addition to MK – the new Fantasyland was open! It was still under construction during our trip in 2012 so we were thrilled to check it out this year.
